Great park not too far from Atlanta. Sites were level with crushed stone including patio with perm.concrete picnic tables. We had site 41 by the creek. Very nice and clean with good hiking trails. Rather hilly for riding bike. Golf near by and nice swimming lake. Twists and turns and some low hanging limbs but nothing a good driver can not handle. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Very nice park across Hwy 98 from the ocean, not a far walk. At first we had a site assigned in old section that was terrible and trashy seasonals on that side. We asked to be moved to the new side site 89 which was perfect. Helpful staff, beautiful pool. Very windy, must watch awning, dogs welcome in park and on beach which is a real plus for us. We found fresh seafood in town to bring back and cook. Restaurant close by which was good. Very laid back not much to do for kids but if you only want to fish, beach it or just lay around and plan your next meal, it is the place for you. We will go back if we are looking for a gulf coast location especially because of the pets welcome sign.

We camped here this June and last year in September. Great sites, very dog friendly, dogs are allowed on the beach and the campground has poop bags in containers at each rest room and at the beach to use. Very handy. It is a walk to the beach so we drove across the road, lots of parking. Site 293 is the best in the park but also site 46 and on that row is very roomy with trees for privacy. We had 290, not that great and 152 not that great either. Good seafood restaurant and seafood market in Mayport. They have cleaned the park up since September. There were lots of cats, raccoons and armadillos all over but this year we didn't see any. No alcohol allowed in the park or beaches but we did see evidence of it. We like this park a lot.
